Joan Harrison

Joan Harrison is Professor Emerita of Art at the Post Campus of Long Island University. She works in a variety of media from photography, conceptual design, and collage to pastel and ink drawings that reflect her abiding interest in nature. She is the author of several photo histories of towns on Long Island. The interaction between words and images is a particular interest that has won her an artist’s grant to work in Venice in 2015.
