Joan Digby is Professor Emerita of English, Director of Honors and Director of the Poetry Center at Long Island University-Post Campus; she also studied photography at her university and has been active as a photographer for more than thirty years. In addition to illustrating several of her own booklets, she has been the photographer for many press authors. She is co-founder of The Feral Press/Prehensile Pencil Publications.
